Reproductive Technology Accreditation Committee (RTAC)

RTAC is the accrediting arm of the Fertility Society of Australia (FSA), which is charged with ensuring the highest level of care for IVF patients in Australia.

In August 2005 PIVET was recommended for continued accreditation by RTAC for a further 3 years. The new code of practise reflects a higher level of quality and conditions over all areas of the operation of an IVF Clinic. PIVET staff have worked hard to improve all aspects of their operations to meet the new standards.

National Association of testing Authorities (NATA)

In 2007  our Endocrine and Andrology Laboratories were re-accredited for another 3 years by NATA to the International Laboratory Standards (ISO 15189). This standard focuses on quality systems, sample intregrity and professional competencies. Laboratories require this accreditation to allow their costs of testing to be reimbursed by Medicare, thus minimising patients' Pathology expenses.

PIVET has continually received this status every three years since auditing was introduced in the early 1990s. This recent accreditation confirms PIVET's continuing focus on quality and improvement.
