Getting Started

At PIVET Medical Centre we strive to provide the highest level of care with the infertility treatment programs and gynaecological services we offer.
Your first visit will provide you with general information about the clinic and explain what you could expect in relation to diagnosis and treatment.

How do I proceed?


My 1st step:  REFERRAL

You will require a referral form from your GP or Specialist.  GP referrals are valid for 12 months and Specialist referrals are valid for 3 months.  If you have a partner, both names will need to be on the referral or you will need separate referrals.

My 2nd step:  CONTACT PIVET

Contact our friendly team at PIVET reception on 08 9422 5400 to make an appointment.  We are usually able to make an appointment within two weeks of your initial enquiry.  Once your appointment is made, we will send you an email on how you can access your new patient information package via our online Patient Portal.


At your first appointment with a PIVET Doctor, your medical history will be discussed along with any previous fertility treatment you may have undertaken.  Please bring a copy of any of your test results or records to your first appointment.  Some tests may need to be repeated or updated, however we do aim not to repeat tests unnecessarily.


After your first appointment you will meet with a member of our nursing team to further explain what to expect on your treatment journey and how to proceed from here.  You will also be explained the costs involved with your treatment plan, including information about Medicare rebates and out-of-pocket expenses.
